The Complete Model for Designing a Life That's Uniquely Yours
A 5-stage blueprint for those who want to live beyond labels.
The divide between personal and professional is blurring.
No longer are you able to leave your hobbies, hopes and happiness at home. Instead, you are being expected to bring your full self to everything you do.
Your professional reputation is being replaced by your personal brand, your network by your community and your career goals by your life goals.
Meaning that your aspiration should no longer be for work-life balance, but for work-life integration.
To create that integration, you can’t copy someone else’s blueprint. You have to design your own life by combining your unique set of experiences, skills and perspectives into a contribution that helps others in a way only you can.
The undefinable life design model is the approach I’ve built to do exactly that.
Over the last three years I’ve created, tested and refined this model through coaching, workshops and research. Now I want you to have it. So that you can design a life that’s uniquely yours that can adapt, evolve and thrive no matter what the world throws your way.
The Five Stages of undefinable life design
Stage 1: Many → Discover Your Many Interests
You start by surfacing every interest, influence and curiosity across time by exploring what’s inherited, outdated, current, soon and ideal. Then you group them into broader categories that reflect the foundations of your uniqueness.
Stage 2: Few → Commit to Being Semi-Professional
From your categories, you choose the few that you’ll develop into Semi-Professional pursuits. This is where curiosity grows roots. You go deep enough to add value and develop mastery, but not so deep that you box yourself in.
Stage 3: You → Uncover Your Golden Thread
Here you connect the dots between who you help, how you help them and what you uniquely provide. This becomes your internal compass, providing you with a direction that grows with you and gives you the clarity to say “Yes” and “No” with intention.
Stage 4: I → Shape Your Signature Expression
This is where your Golden Thread becomes something tangible and recognisable in the world as an idea, framework, methodology or creative work that could only come from you. It’s the bridge between inner clarity and outer impact.
Stage 5: Multiply → Design Your Value Streams
Finally, you sustain and amplify your work through multiple streams of value – financial, relational, health, learning and impact. Together, they hold up your personal acropolis, ensuring you can keep creating without burning out or collapsing when one pillar shakes.
Where Should You Begin?
This model is a living system. Depending on your current challenges, you might jump in at any stage that feels most relevant to you right now.
Feeling scattered? → Start with Many
Stuck at surface-level? → Start with Few
Lacking direction or purpose? → Start with You
Ready to make your mark? → Start with I
Struggling to sustain your work? → Start with Multiply
Revisit Your Life Design Often
Life won’t unfold in a straight line. It’ll twist, turn and throw you surprises you never saw coming. But when you revisit this model regularly, you’ll always have a way to re-anchor yourself.
Your undefinable life isn’t a one-time act of design. It’s a living conversation you keep having with yourself. And the more often you show up to shape it, the more beautiful, resilient and unmistakably yours it becomes.
